It was a joy to style, plan and come up with the concept for an ‘English rose romance’ wedding styled shoot. I handpicked a talented team of suppliers to capture the fairy tale of a bride marrying her one true love.
Here is the creative concept behind the shoot so you can get some inspiration for your very own special day.
The concept is a traditional English countryside wedding but with a contemporary twist. It’s a romantic theme for a modern couple seeking a classic wedding with modern elements. Traditional styling included using silver candelabras along with elegant chiffon chair decor. This was alongside modern touches such as coloured glassware and luxury draped napkins.
The Colour Scheme
I chose a colour palette of beautiful lavender and sage with hints of silver and copper. The inspiration for these stunning shades was because of the breathtaking Oxfordshire countryside.
Lavender and sage floral details featured on the cake made by the talented Iced Delights. Its delicious three tiers were on display within a gorgeous modern copper feature.
Soft lavender wildflowers and roses featured in the flowers provided by Bramble Cottage Flowers. These amazing florists brought the outside in with elegant foliage table runners. They also created a unique handcrafted moon gate frame that brought one of the many wow factors to the shoot!
For the location, I searched for a fairy tale setting and found it at Nether Winchendon House. Their Carridge Barn kept with the theme with its original features but also modern decor. The stunning grounds and tranquil gardens also provided the perfect dreamy backdrop.
The setting and details were photographed by Suzy Elizabeth Photography. She’s a fine art wedding photographer with a soft and natural style. Suzy perfectly captured the romantic feel of this English rose styled wedding shoot.
As a Berkshire wedding planner and stylist, I loved creating a mood board of ideas for this styled shoot. It was so exciting to bring the concept to life but I couldn’t have done it alone. A huge thank you to everyone who worked on this shoot. It was fantastic to collaborate and showcase your incredible talents.
